People Processes

People processes are the blood flow of any organization – they work best when they are healthy, seamless and not felt. In that sense, it is always a challenge to allocate investment in People Processes, as the ROI cannot be directly identified in the top line or bottom line of the company. The ROI is smooth sailing, reduced long term admin costs, and prevention of staff demotivation.

Poorly functioning, ineffective or even slightly glitchy processes will inevitably have a negative effect on people morale and productivity. Unaddressed, they will lead to chronic organizational issues and can become a serious blocker to people creativity and competitiveness.

Organizations must ensure that staffing, recruitment, payroll, HR reporting, promotions, exits, disciplinary and the rest of the administrative processes work effectively, efficiently and as seamlessly as possible without costing too much.

Moreover, technological advancements and modern work practices, as well as worker expectations are incompatible with the ways those processes were handled, and with the limitations that were the norm only a few years ago. People expect access to leave, flexible benefits, status adjustments and many other things at the tips of their fingers. Filling forms and applications and sending them on endless review and approval journeys, or waiting for days for changes to be reflected in the system are not acceptable any more.
